Cedric Lichtenau is the chief architect for AI acceleration on IBM Z, enabling enterprise AI at scale for the platform. He lead the development of the on-chip AI accelerator for IBM Telum and IBM Telum II chips; and is currently working on the Spyre PCI AI accelerator and AI infrastructure enablement for LLMs and Agentic AI. His work includes driving collaborative effort across the stack with teams from IBM Infrastructure and Research to create innovative high-performance AI solutions for our customers.
