Camera-ready submissions for HPCA 2026 are now open. Authors should carefully follow the instructions below and upload their final papers to the designated submission system.

Essential Information

  • Deadline for submission and copyright signing: Dec 15, 2025, 11:59 PM PDT
  • Page Limits:
    • Main paper: up to 12 pages (figures and tables included), references excluded.
    • Additional pages: HPCA 2026 will allow up to 2 extra pages for the main body (i.e., up to 14 pages total). HPCA 2026 will waive extra-page fees.
    • References: Unlimited and free (do not count toward the 12+2 pages).
    • Artifact Evaluation Appendix: Papers that receive AE badges may include an additional up to 2-page appendix for artifact documentation. These pages are free and do NOT count toward the 14-page main-body limit.
    • Other appendices: Any non-AE appendices count toward the main paper page limit.
  • Camera-ready Formatting Requirements:
    • Authors must use the official IEEE templates for Word or LaTeX.
    • Final PDFs must be generated or validated through IEEE PDF eXpress.
    • Do NOT attach artifact evaluation badges to the camera-ready paper.
  • Submission Site: PDF eXpress
    • Please use your HotCRP submission number as the “Paper ID”.

Other Notes

  • Please ensure the final formatting adheres to all IEEE PDF eXpress requirements.
  • Avoid Type 3 fonts. Check with pdffonts if needed.
  • If the submission site displays a page-limit warning, you may ignore it as long as your paper meets the HPCA rules above.

PDF eXpress Instructions for Authors

Before creating a PDF: thoroughly proofread your source files and ensure no further edits will be required after validation.

Creating your PDF eXpress Account

  • Log in to the PDF eXpress site.
  • First-time users:
    1. Click “Create Account”.
    2. Enter:
      • Conference ID: 68181X
      • Your email address
      • A chosen password
    3. Complete the remaining fields as prompted.
  • Returning users may log in with the same email and password.
  • You will receive a confirmation email after account setup.

Required Publishing Steps

  • All authors must complete the IEEE electronic copyright transfer (eCF) process.
  • Camera-ready PDFs must be validated through PDF eXpress to be IEEE Xplore compliant.
  • No modifications (headers, watermarks, page numbers, etc.) may be added after PDF eXpress validation.
  • All files intended for IEEE Xplore must be validated individually.
  • Ensure all final filenames are fewer than 50 characters.

Additional Notes

  • Use the IEEE Word or LaTeX templates linked above.
  • Ensure your final PDF meets all formatting and page-limit requirements.
  • Upload only the final, validated PDF from PDF eXpress.
  • The IEEE eCF system will email the corresponding author with instructions for completing the copyright form.
